Yesterday (7th April), a customer showed me a couple of photo's of two Mk 1 L/C's which were involved in
a serious racing incident. He said he took them at Thruxton circuit over the bank holiday weekend and both cars look to be extensively damaged. He didn't seem to know much about the drivers, or their condition, so I hope everyone involved is ok. Hope those cars can be rebuilt too, the damage looks pretty horible to both.
Scott :(

I seen them ,Imo they need reshelling... Terrible risky business

I saw these pics on facebook, it such a shame that they have been badly damaged but I am sure they can either be rebuilt or re-shelled like many other race cars were back in the day!

It's a sad sight, but:
Are these race cars "original" LCs (with LC identities), or built up replicas for racing (no LC identity)?
(I believe many of the cars racing today are replicas, without LC identities/chassis plates?)

No doubt the economical loss will hurt just as much, though...
+ a lost racing season :(
