Mk1 '66 Front Struts

Currently rebuilding my LC, owned since 1968!
Can anyone please give me a dimension, spring seat to axle casting etc which will confirm whether I have correct struts. In the late '70's it was very usual to gain ground clearance by fitting standard struts and emulate rally cars.
I measure 14" from junction of tube/axle casting to seat top lip and 15.5" to top of damper tube.

I am in Teesside, any members local to me?

I'm aware any length struts can be used when converting to Gaz coilovers, but can long struts be shorted to the correct Lotus spec to use factort spec springs?
