Typical - just bought my ticket & my engine has gone pop. Best case it's a head gasket &/or water pump housing seal - worst case it's................... don't go there.

Anyway engine out tomorrow & off the the workshop - hope to get it back before June. :(

I've got a good engine here if you want to borrow it Keith ?

Thanks for the kind offer Trevor but it should be back by then & it's quite a faff swapping them out as I'm not as fit as I used to be.

Sadly my car won't be there now as the machine shop doing the work on the engine has decided that the work is beyond them at the moment, so it will need to be done elsewhere.

Howard Andy

Thanks for a great weekend
So nice to catch up on Saturday night and the show Sunday was fantastic

Cant wait for the next one

Thanks for everyone who attended with or without a car, there were 50 or 51 there.

We won most cars on a club stand award.

Weather was brilliant, venue great and the whole day was top draw.

Don't know when there will be another such large gathering of "Lotus Cortina's".

You echo my thoughts Howard - at the 50th we had 80 cars, so quite a reduction this time.

Looking round there were a number of well known cars & owners who were absent so I guess that these are now 10 years on & feeling the strain. I wonder if there is a new generation of owners coming up through the ranks, but I suspect not due to cost & demographic.
