S Steve 155C New member May 10, 2011 #4 Thanks Dave and Jim. It seems that the yellow passivate was only used on the later runs of the carbs and would not be correct for our cars. Looking at your carbs Dave i think a fair summary would be if the hardware is not brass then it was bright zinc plated.
