Weather strip fitting- I have been fitting the weather strips to my car and used the kit from the MK1 Cortina owners club-the same material and clips are available from Woollies trim supply and many others.
I had read that the trim clips need modified, and that is certainly the case on a 45 year old car with alloy doors. The trim clips are wider than the ford items and I found that with out buffing the edge of the clips they were rubbing the glass.
The pictured below shows the clip as supplied and with the edge buffed off. The other picture, if you can make it out, shows the clearance once the clips have been buffed

In the picture above I have't pushed the clip home- it sits flush when fitted
