Does anyone know of any companies who make metal petrol tanks for a MK2 Cortina to original spec?
Any help would be appreciated.

As far as i know no-one does.

The recently departed Hugh Wade remanufactured Mk1 tanks a few years ago but the set up cost was very high (into 5 figures i think). I think he actually got them made in the Far East.

Best to buy a reasonably good one and restore it.

I asked around quite a few years ago when I went twin tanks. A company called A H fabrications said they were able to make me a alloy one but the cost was too much, but I was so impressed with the quality of there welding/workmanship I bought my other fuel tank from them.
I have heard they now make alloy tanks for mk1s so it might be worth asking them again.
