just stumbled across this ,nearly over but should be repeated .in belguim with a red lotus cortina and plenty of other tasty cars . :D
 
yes i saw this, the car was in alan mann colours and had a kpu no plate. some cracking footage the alan mann car was filmed round the track and when they were interveiwing a driver the car was behind in a workshop with the bonnet removed,it looked in first class cond
 
can't find a link,i only seen the last 20 minutes of it myself.the l/c was kpu 393c i think.my brother knows the driver,and is going to go and ask him for his autograph for a laugh :)
 
The KPU 393C is now owned by Roger Wills. He owns also an Elva and an Corvette. He is racing with those tree cars all over europe.
I think former owner of this LC is Simon Drabble.
 
Yep - thats the same car I was thinking it was. It used to owned and raced by Peter and Tony Lanfranchi. I believe it had a few big "offs" when in their hands.
 
393c was created in about 1995, there is no great history to this car, only what it has achived in the past 10-12 years
 
I remember this car! KPU 393 C was one of two cars that I borrowed for the Lotus Cortina exhibition I organised at the Hove Engineerium back in October 1998. At that time is was owned and was being campained and driven by Terry Nichols who used to drive and race Lotus Cortinas back in the 60's. In it's previous life, the car was a standard green and white Lotus Cortina owned by a mate of mine, Simon Sapstead (ex-LCR member) of Brighton. I'm sure Rick has its original registration number in the club's archieve.

this car has been uploaded on youtube this week.just type "lotus cortina goodwood crash."i wont tell you what happens but the clue is in the title!
