Jim Clark Tribute [colour changes]

Question for those who may remember.
Does anyone recall Lotus' response to the tragic loss of Jim Clark?
I vaguely recollect that there was some talk at the time, following his death, for a short period during 1968, the standard green and yellow Lotus badges fitted to all Lotus cars built in 1968 were black with chrome emblem and letters.
The mark 2 lotus Cortinas even though finished by Ford were finished with a black painted side stripe and rear
valance instead of the standard green, if the owner chose to have the car finished with a stripe. [on the white vehicles] Is this true?
I would appreciate an answer on this if any one knows.
Cheers Geoff

Hi Geoff
You might be right about the colour change of the horn push, but the grill and wing badges were still yellow and green.
The Mk11 s were assembled by Ford, not just finished by them which is why they could be ordered with any of the Mk11 colours.

Thanks for your response Pete.
My car was built in 1965 and has a black
"horn push" or rather, steering wheel centre
"button" as the horn is actually on the indicator stalk RHS steering column.
So the black Lotus badges were around before the loss of Jim Clark and the factory
sponsorship by JPS.
Thanks for enlightening me of the fact that
that the body was adorned with the yellow
and green badges.
As far as the JPS Cars.
They didn't have any Lotus badges.
Referred to only as John Player Specials.
As far as I know.
Cheers Geoff
