Ok. It looks as though the snow is on it's way so maybe we can arrange a date to meet up for our first meeting.

I suggest that we start with next week, Monday 21st - Friday 25th Jan. If everyone could post the evenings they cannot make then we should be able to pick one that suits us all. If not we can repeat the process the following week.

I think the odd Sunday for a run in the summer ok with our SWMBO .
Meets in the week may be better .
You may find pubs on Sundays a bit full and tables for a group tricky.

I have two problems driving the way I do in a Lotus Cortina.

Lights are never brighter enough for cross country motoring (Motorways are boring)
My wipers go in slow motion :cry: as either contacts or motor is knack*red and its a horrible job to repair :roll: so have always avoided rainy days and night drives.

Neither of which bodes well for a winter evening pub meet but happy to come even if in my daily driver.
(snow plough with 4 speed wipers and 6 cibie's on the front) :lol:

Brendan. I can't imaging there will be too many Lotus Cortinas in the car park so the daily runabout will do just fine.

Nice to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't like motorways in a LC. Nice thing about East Sussex is that we don't have any motorways.

We don't have a clear evening for next week so can I suggest we look to make our first meet next Tuesday week the 5th of February? If everyone could post just to confirm, then, when we're all together, we can sort out a regular date.

stick another one on your list, be it snow rain or dark i shall do my best (approx 99% sure) to show my face. i shall turn up in my daily driver on 5th i`ll be there when i get there ( as it is approx an hour & 15mins & just over 40 miles of pure b roads) i will keep an eye out for any changes otherwise i`ll see you all there on the the 5th
