Hi - Can anyone advise me on where to source a pair of wing mirrors for my car? On both wings there is a large hole in the centre with a couple of fixing screw holes about 5 inches apart. I also need a pair of front spot lights with fittings for the grille and a pair of oblong fog lamps for beneath the front bumper...Ray

In my opinion, wing mirrors spoil the lines of the car but thats my opinion.

The mirrors can be sourced from the owners clubs i believe. Genuine items can be found too

There is also a company i will look into finding again whom stocks the mirrors similat to the originals

Thanks Matt and you just have a point about the visual effect of the wing mirrors. Maybe I'll get the holes filled and painted when I have a few other little body jobs done...Ray

Hi Ray,
I agree with Matt about the wing mirrors spoiling the lines on the mk2. A couple of us mk2 owners without wing mirrors use wider clip on/strap on interior mirrors, to help rear vision.
As for a lights you've got lot's of options. I just used some mk2 escort lamp brackets and modern Cibie spotlights.

Hi I agree mirrors and spots or for 1600Es not for Lotus Cortinas, bet you do not go out in the dark to use them. I bought a quarter light mirror as used on minis for traveling to and from shows and when we do classic runs abroad, I remove it at the show. It does not spoil the look of the car and I can use it on all my cars. Regards RONV.
