MK1 Cortina front grill what a price NOS

Looks like it sold. Probably worth the money actually and one of the few parts that I would be prepared to pay top money for. When was the last time you saw another one for sale?

Hi All

If we only knew back then what these wouuld be worth now I suppose we all would have bought a few for storage. I bet they were only about £5.50 back then each.

Regards
Kev

I've had one restored, ie dents repaired and replated and it cost about 450 pounds so I suppose the price was not outrageous. NOS stuff is so nice!!!!!!!!!!

the said grill is now safely wrapped up under my bed awaiting the grand day to fit onto BJO :D

For £750 it needs to stay under the bed - the first time you fit it, drive down the road and hear that awful 'ting' noise as the stone hits it you'll kick yourself.

Peter - did you have your grill re-anodised? If so was it done in Oz or UK? I am still thinking about what to do with my grill. To be fair there's really not much wrong with it, just a few minor marks but I didn't want it to spoil the overall appearance of my car when it's finished. However, I am still trying to decide if the cost of refurbishment is worth it just because of a few minor imperfections.

Keith yes that has crossed my mind lol... stones, though I'm happy with the offer i made and that i realise these don't come up often,

ultimately its going to get marked slightly but i want to use it not just look at it, but knowing my luck there be 3 of them on next week :/ lol
