Ford Cortina Mk2 Lotus Series 1 restoration project that has had the same owner since it was 5 years old (46 years)
The car is a totally 100% original Lotus Cortina retaining its correct lotus parts, the chassis tag is original and has never been removed, also still retaining it's body/paint code tag, and still has it's original Neg Earth decal.
It is being sold as a total restoration project with the car needing a lot of work, however it is complete. Body work has gone in all the usual places, ie sills, back end including wheel well and battery area, door bottoms, bonnet and boot lid, a big plus is the floor is very solid and unpatched, the bulkhead looks ok as do the flitches but they have had top plates at some time, the roof also looks good The body as a whole will need a lot of attention and is not a simple weekend fix!
Interior is original and complete and retains some nice features including an original un-cracked dash top, original centre consul, original lotus clocks, gear knob, front / rear seats, bumpers, seat belts etc .... It has a rare webasto sunroof, and is sitting on rostyle wheels which were also a rare factory option. Under the engine bay it is complete and original, retaining some nice original parts such as servo, lotus radiator, carbs etc. I have not tried to start the engine so will be sold as a non runner.
