New parts for Mk1's

I had a visit from Colin Ginn, over the weekend, who brought along one
of his remanufactured bonnet bezels and both types of badge inserts
(consul & cortina). These are absolutely superb.
Full credit to Colin, I know loads of people who've tried to remanufacture these parts and had to give up because of costs and manufacturing difficulties.
I've seen all of the remanufactured badges and surrounds that are currently available from various sources and can honestly say, Colins are head and shoulders better.
He's also doing a load of other bits and pieces, which I'm sure will be the same high quality.
Hopefully Colin will read this and add a list of what he's remade and what he intends to do in the future.
A few pics wouldn't go amiss Colin!

Yes I can also testify to colin quality as I have bought the headlamp bezels....very very nice.

If Colin is reading please let me know what the bonnet badge bezel+insert looks lie and costs would be very interested.

Thanks guys I'm really pleased with them il post some pictures as soon as I can , the next part I'm looking at making is the top of the suspension caps with the fo mo co badge on them it's quiet an expensive tooling so a little feed back showing any interest would be great thanks Colin.

These would be a real quality item to reproduce as one attempt so far didn't really work very well. All cars have them and they are (nearly) all discoloured. Good idea Colin - crack on!

Hi Colin,
I reckon a lot of owners will buy a few pairs each time, as they discolour so quickly. I think the Mk1 Cortina o/c and the Anglia boys would be very interested too.
They'll be on my shopping list!

Well that 2sets then Scott all I need is about 48 more and i might break even I will still look at it but don't hold your breath unless you and Keith are happy to pay £600.00 each

Rick would be a good source of info on market for these. I bought a set from him maybe 12-18 months ago. I'm sure there is a pretty good market for them. I'd buy another set with FoMoCo on them. Yes I know that's only three but it takes time to get the word out,,,,,,,

I just called in and bought a bezel and badge yesterday,- they are good!

I'm now looking forward to top mount caps and console ali bits when they are available,- anyone interested in any of the parts Colin is remanufacturing then let him know on here or pm him as they are subject to minimum order quantities and it has to be viable

Hi Chris I did look at them but there quiet a lot of work but I don't think there would be a big enough call 4 them .

Has anyone fitted colins superb bezel?

Im in the process of fitting but noticed the bezel holes in the bonnet have little metal clips in them so to fit the bezel would required trimming down the fixing stubs......before I do this I want to make sure the clips should be there.

Here is a picture

If the clips are not meant to be there then I will remove them

Thanks Chris

Thanks all and special thanks to Colin for his amazing quality parts.

Here is a picture of Colins headlight bezels, bonnet badge bezel + badge.

Very very nice Colin.

Chris

Hi,

I left the clips in as they are as intended and original clips for the car.

I had to use a small file to trim down the bezel fixing stubs took a little bit of time but well worth it so glad a bought these off colin.
