Hi. After many years searching and looking at several MK2 Lotus Cortinas I have recently purchased OXE 899F. Very happy with the car and would like to reach out here to see if anyone has any histoty on it. I have the history from the previous owner covering the last 11 years in his ownership but would like to trace it back further. I understand from the factory it spent its early years in Essex. Thanks in advance. Ps for the experts, it has a very eratic speedo. Would this be cable or calibration? Regards Peter.

Good luck with your new purchase. Erratic speedo needles usually caused by a kinked or chaffed cable, check the gearbox end for a tight bend.
