P14 Brake Disk - Bolt Question

I have a 64 with P14 calipers. I removed the left front wheel on the weekend to clean the inside of the wheel rim. A simple task one would think. In doing so I noticed that the brake disk was loose on the hub. It was able to rotate back and forth circa 5-6mm with the hub being held stationary. In removing the hub and disk I identified the cause. The four bolts securing the disk to the hub are smaller in diameter than the holes in the disk. Should these bolts have a shoulder (larger diameter section near the head of the bolt) such that they fill the holes in the disk rotor? Alternatively the disk and hub may be miss-matched? Would value any advise on this. Apologies in advance if the topic has already been covered.... searched in vain.
Cheers,
Peter

Hmmmm - thats does not sound ideal. There is no way I would have used bolts that didn't fit.
I would have used the official parts list to get the correct size and grade of bolts. It is known for the parts book to have errors , but if the bolts were obviously wrong I would have noticed.

From memory don't these bolts have locking tabs on them?

From what I remember they are just normal high grade bolts. The unthreaded portion of the bolt shank isn't larger than normal. They would originally have been secured with tab washers, but I normally loctite them in.
Were the bolts still screwed up tight Peter? Maybe they became slack and movement has now damaged bolts and holes. 5 to 6 mm seems a lot of movement.

I can't see a brake disk bolt specific to the LC in the parts list, so it must share the standard one , part number 113603-ES, Bolt 3/8" - 16x1" hexagon

Whole hub, disc assembly on a P14 brake lotus cortina is the same as a standard disc brake cortina, only the caliper and splash shield are different.

Thanks guys for the information. I will reassess the situation on the weekend and report back.
Cheers,
Peter
