Please help me escape.

Can one of you IT gurus out there help me to escape from the notification advice of a topic in the forum?
I have attempted to follow the instructions on how to "unsubscribe" but to no avail.
How do I stop being advised that a group of you in Sussex want to have a drink in a new pub and appear never to be able to come to a decision about it?

Hi Michael,
Have you clicked on 'unsubscribe topic' (near the bottom next to Board index) when having the pubmeet thread on the screen.

Louis......of course, that was the first thing I tried.
Then I tried using the link in the received e-mail about unsubscibing.
Neither seem to work for me!

Try this:

- Click on "User Control Panel" (at the top left of the forum)
- Click on "overview"
- Click on "Manage Sunscriptions"
- Check the box next to the topic you no longer are interested in
- scroll down the screen and click "Unwatch marked"

I am of the same opinion Michael:-

Steve:
I shan't know until there is another post on "The Bolney Stage" topic (you know, the one with over 12500 viewings!)
If I don't receive an e-mail advising me about it, it will have worked.......otherwise, not!

Right I've updated it - did you get it?

Michael, think it best if you jump in your car and attend, that way you will see first hand what all the fuss is about. Assuming of course you have been notified of said event, with venue and time details.

There are so many comedians posting here and on the Bolney Stage topic.
Perhaps some of them should revert to talking about cars....just a thought.
To give them all yet more ammunition for their comedic talent.......I am still being advised, by e-mail, every time somebody posts on that topic. Hysterically funny I know....and I can't wait for the next side-splitting witticism to appear. I do so hope I'm not losing my sense of humour.

Hi Michael - plan B. Try this.

- Click on User Control Panel
- Click on "Board Preferences"
- Click on "Edit posting defaults"
- Change the "Notify me upon replies by default" from yes to no

Note: I would assume this still stop all emails to you for topics you have posted in.

Steve: many thanks, plan B now initiated.
I will sit back and await developments (and perhaps some more rib-cracking humour from the comedians).

I'm too busy rolling around laughing, but don't worry i'll give it some thought and i'm sure I will find an option to put you out of your misery
ps
I still think the best option is to say sod the cost and attend the event otherwise you won't know what you are missing.

Are you the Comedian Howard? Can't be me I am an accountant for God's sake.
Sense of humour removed during articles... Is Micheal an accountant too?

I doubt we will know as he has probably escaped ?
Cue music and theme from "the great escape"

Absolutely hilarious. You've even managed to misspell my name. Well done.....and so you should be.

Sorry Michael no offence intended, incompetence is rarely
Deliberate.
But honestly why keep looking at this stuff if all it does is wind you up?

Makes no sense to me, bit like those people who watch something on TV
And then complain about it. They should just turn over or switch the TV off
Thats what I would say.

Hope someone posts something interesting this is getting boring now!
