I know this subject has been covered extensively over the years but my 66 LC is due for new tyres soon. Normally I would opt for 175/70 but thinking back to my wonderful father in law, when he seem to have many Lotus Cortina’s hanging around his petrol station in the 1970s/80s waiting for repair and refurbishment, as well as his own immaculate LC.
When it came to tyre choice he had tried different sizes and types but found the best set up for him was Goodyear 175/70 on the front and 185/70 on the rear, perhaps not to everyone’s taste but it suited him.
