Hi Magnus and all,
Yes, my Cortina has original racing seat and seat runners now. Please don't mind use my pic.
The racing seat hold the driver in place, increases driver control. Especially winding road!
Therefore I feel very combatable with the seat as well as those that can be used in daily drive.
Of course, not recommend for passenger side.
I was looking for the seat runners many years ago and did a lot of research work and asked various friends include ex-works car owners. But I could not find an answer. I found Austin Healey seat runners which looks pretty close. So I did try to use the seat runners also. You need modified the bolts position of top and down. Also the arm is straight and the lever is different shape.
Then I found an information of 1963 Racing Lotus Cortina here. The car imported by Japanese Lotus dealer in 1964. Sold to “Mitsubishi motors”! I got a report/pics include confidential materials from “Mitsubishi motors”. Finally I got the seat runners and find some information. However I can not find out the materials somewhere. If my memories is right, the seat runners made by COX in UK. I believe it's versatile seat runners. But very rare. I've never seen completely same seat runners in other Lotus cars include Elan also other British cars.
During the research work, I still have modified Austin Healey seat runners, original lever bracket, other seat runners looks same type probably made by COX.
If you are interest, I can swap for other parts.
Thank you. Hiro :D

Hi .sorry for the delay in replying to your enquiry regarding the Lotus seat shells.
Due to this delay, have you still managed to source a pair?
