Got a lead on the first owner of my car. Found out he is still with us.
Would be great to talk to him. He raced my car in the 60's at all the tracks in Victoria against some of Australia's greatest racing drivers.
Hope the lead comes through.

That's great news - hope he has some old pics as well. I had the same good fortune when I spoke to some of the old Police officers. It's exciting to make that connection over 50 years.

Iwas reading an old Racing Car News magazine dated October 1966
Adrian Ryan did the report for the August 28th, 1966 Calder meeting and during the touring car race it was quoted ''Norm Watts had his Cortina catch fire at Shell corner but little damage was done''
