]I have just fitted a stainless system to my Mk 2 the old system had only lasted 30years!!

The chap who made it up for me made a find joba nd it fitted perfectly with no "adjustments" needed.
He can do a them for £350 a set for the MK2 and lower price if we can get enough names and deposits together.
10 sets would bring the cost down to the £300 region.

Also possible to do just the front or rear section if required.
He can also do the Mk1 exhaust but needs a pattern especially of the front section. I thing the rear section may be identical to both cars.
Can you let me know if you are interested as I need to gauge demand.

I don't need one myself at the moment but mine is now 25 years old so could be up for renewal in the not too distant future.

If you don't get the required number could you let us have the chaps details for future reference?

Many thanks.

I’m in the same position as Dave Baldock. My current system (a late Mk 1) is in mild steel and shows no outward signs of leaks or corrosion, however, although I don’t need one right now I might be interested in a spare system for when I do. Are you talking about the two piece manifold as well for the price quoted and do you know anything about the grade and thickness of stainless he uses? Where is he based?

Me too, but think I will be going back to the supplier of my manifold after what he did to get it right

The offer was only for the exhaust sections themselves as per the photos, as I said in the original offer the MK1 systems are possible if a pattern was supplied.

Hi
For what it’s worth I think that is a great price.I went to a original equipment and replacement exhaust system manufacturer in NZ with my still original but thin 66 exhaust system and replicas in mild steel were over £500 each in mild steel for three and I still need to HPC coat them.
However they do look very original.
Manifolds would interest me though not sure who does good ones.

Sorry Eamon for late reply
However I would take one for each model if a suitable mk1 system could also be sourced from a genuine original system as well, The system on my Mk1 is on a wing and a prayer having been to do for the last goodness knows how many years by its previous elderly owner i have refrained from purchasing a new system from the many that are available on the internet due to the quality of fitment issues that almost always occur on spurious goods be it Body panels, exhaust systems, and all the other spurious goods labelled with the dreaded words will fit Lotus

Yes
The systems I purchased in UK branded for Lotus Cortina were a cheap joke.
Not even the smallest relationship with the original.

The systems are manufactured from 304 stainless.
The chap who makes them up is
Shaun Tucker
his contact details are

I have agreed a price for the Mk2 of £325 delivered to your address in the UK.
Please dont try to haggle him down as I this is is a decent price and his original price was £400.
He lives in Taunton and if anyone lives in that neck of the world you could save about £25 by collecting it your self.
This is basically the same price as I was originality offered if we could find 10 members who wanted a system
He has 2 sets of Mk2 exhausts made up and ready to go, those members who wanted them immediately.
If anyone who has a genuine MK1 system or dimension of one (I believe there may be more than 1 type) should contact Shaun. Once he has a good pattern he can work out a price and get them made.
