Steering gear box gaskets?

Greetings from California,

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction for some steering gear box gaskets. The steering gear box on my LHD Lotus Cortina (airflow) is leaking from the cover quite a lot. I have had no luck locating the needed gaskets from the parts houses here in the States. A visit to the Mk1 Owners Club web site could not locate a listing for these gaskets either.

Does anyone have some leads for me to follow up on?

Hi John - I'm sure Lotus Cortina Spares centre do a rebuild kit for the steering box:-

Easiest way to get the cover gasket is buy some gasket paper the right thickness and cut your own.
