Top Gear magazine are planning on featuring a Lotus Cortina in a forthcoming issue. The article is to be written by Richard Hammond. If anyone is interested in having their car featured in the article please send me a PM or contact me on 07927 324427.

Please be aware that you will need to deliver your car to the Top Gear test track in Dunsfold, Surrey on WEDNESDAY JUNE 11TH.

Simon

Yes Peter, it would involve a test drive but if you're going to drive a car on the limit then a track is the best and safest place to do it.

Come on guys, we need a volunteer. This is your chance to meet a celebrity petrol head and to have your car featured in a major publication!

I would not submit my car to RH who IMHO is not as commited to cars as you would be led to believe. I remember he had to have a Dodge charger after one being submitted to a show article some years ago, and to be fair he did get one but wrong year and very un-original and ownership lasted months......

Let one of those dealers that have a £45-50,000 show car for sale submit that i.e. just a piece of trading stock to top gear rather than submit a car that is precious and may have years of ownership behind it.............

Maybe not celebrity and petrolhead in equal measure...........

I have a great idea lets ask Mervyn (old racer) to take RH around the track as a passenger in his car, you cannot get a more committed driver than Mervyn??

(well I reckon he should have been committed years ago....)

Shame about all the negativity on here about this request
As it goes all went very well with some very interesting people and cars there.
Hammond was very complimentary, and knowledgeable about the car which he drove very respectively. What was really great, we were allowed to drive 4 laps of the track at speed brilliant!!
What's not to like?

I guess it just reflects the attitude to the rebranding of the show & presenters over recent years. They have turned a serious motoring show into a comedy show. but a lot of people still like it....
