If I had a choice I think a nice Cosworth YB would look the part. :twisted:

If you have to put a V8 in a Mk1 it has to be a small block Ford 289 0r even a 302
Look at the one Benny has, It looks like it was fitted in the factory and I bet it sounds great.

For me there is only one reason to put a V8 into a MkI: for the sound. Don´t think the handling will be worse with a lighter engine, and a serious YB will tweak out more power than many V8´s ever will do.
