Would or could you fix this

Hi all,

I'm sure some of you frequent BAT. I just spotted this ad for a very rusty mk1: http://bringatrailer.com/2016/02/22/heavily-rusted-1966-lotus-cortina-mki/

Being in Australia, a car in this condition would be considered close to impossible to repair. We just don't deal with rust on this scale very often (maybe on shipwrecks). I know Scott worked miracles with his SE, but....this looks too far gone - rotten as you say in the UK. Interested in everyone's thoughts.

Cheers

Andy

Better than a lot of uk cars, hasn't been bodge repaired before, so you don't have to chop a load of rough plates and crap welding off. My 4 door fleet (iron bar grille) car was much much worse than that when I pulled it from a scrap yard and the estate car I am doing at the minute, was worse too. If that was in the uk, it would sell no bother and be restored. Nice original car, needs saved.

That would be any easy repair in NZ.
Should be the same in Australia using a rust free old road car shell from a four door and cutting out what you need.
Is this more pure or is a large number of expressed panels more pure.
