Bearing or Rubber Top mounts

Hi All

During my restoration I have the option of putting either type of top mount onto my MK 2 series one Lotus cortina which would you fit and why? as I have been told that the bearing ones are a pain and don't last as long as the rubber one.

I would welcome any comments.

Not sure what people have against bearing top mounts, I'd expect to get many years of service out a set.

I would say, of all the mk2's i've stripped or broke over the years, the rubber type's inner sleeve rusts to the strut insert and breaks away from the rubber. The steering is a bit lighter with the bearing type aswell.
