I will if i get time Steve,It's dead straight forward on facebore .
Forums seem to be a dying art these days

I suspect that car didn't sell.....if indeed it actually exists. Wouldn't you like to have a beer with that very pleasant chap. Maybe shoot the breeze about how much money you have. I remember we had some exchanges on here some time ago that almost rivaled that......

Cheeky Bastard! I need another MK2 as I sold mine. Do you really think that car has got my name on it? I'll be in the UK soon. Not sure if that's a beer I could afford to have.......

Was that an advert or a horror novel
Looks like it's been written after a few drinks or drugs or both
Its a shame that the lcr commitee gets a bashing again
I doubt that there are any volunteers to take up the challenge of doing their jobs ( for free)when they get fed up with it all
Maybe we should think on that before slating them
Curly

I seem to remember my old school teacher saying less is more - this whole advert could have been summed up as:

For sale - Rare Mk11 Lotus Cortina- Ex police.
Body restored , non original engine , missing a few parts
Needs paint and reassembling

Job done.

Just had both cars checked over by Rick from the LCR .
the police car will be painted its original colour of white . And will probably be returned to a police car ,For shows etc . The mk1 will be put back original
Rick is a wealth of knowledge and a top chap . Anyone wanting a Lotus checked out can not go wrong with the LCR . Great service and left me with loads of information about both cars .
I now understand why you need the LCR .
Thanks Rick [/quote

That's alright, anything to help anytime.

I don't think there is a prescription for verbal diarrhoea

Keith (and others):
Sorry to disappoint with the red pen.....I assumed that IF the advert is genuine, its author is in urgent need of psychiatric help, which is probably easier to administer than the cure for verbal diarrhoea.

Is verbal diarrhoea the result of eating alphabetti spagetti?

I had to have own brand baked beans as they were cheaper.
Hard as bullets compared to Heinz...

Blendon.

Hi All,

This post and several in the past on other sites by this now EX member shows the damage Social Media sites can do to damage Individuals reputation and also in this case the LCR as a whole.

He slagged the LCR and myself on Buy Sell Cortina sometime ago a medium which I do not have access to. This then does not give you the right to reply to defend yourself and people can say what they like about you and are never made accountable.
Unfortunately this then becomes folk law and you are tarred with that brush as a "bastard" forever even though you may have done nothing wrong!

I was surprised that no one ever came to the clubs defense at that time as, many people within the LCR are members of Buy Sell or indeed that "buy sell" did not remove the post immediately.

A Committee member of another well known club has also slagged the LCR off recently I am afraid, but we must have broad shoulders and thick skins as we take the higher ground and do not reply.
Personally I must also be getting older as I would not have stood for anyone in my younger days "blurting out crap" with out taking action as my Police record shows!

Thank you to Curly who has defended Rick on this occassion but I see the post soon deflects from that and degenerates once again into bile without again others actually defending us!
No we don't want a "pat on the back" as a committee just a little appreciation and support where its warrented when someone has a pop after all it is your club!

You think you are hard done by?

I had to have pricerite baked beans for years before I got a
Paper round to buy Heinz beans. The pricerite ones were like
Ball bearings and there must be a scientific link to my haemmoroids....

Who would have thought that a post starting 18 months ago with a reasonably interesting subject like a barn find Lotus Cortina would end (please God) with a reference to a member's haemorrhoids.
Could this post be a contender for the title of "most disconnected from original subject" award?
Knowing this forum, probably not.
