boot lid

I have a 67 series 1 Mk2 , was wondering what is supposed to be on the boot lid under the Cortina script ?

If your car is pre June '67 it didn't have a badge under the Cortina script. If it's post that date, it would have had a twincam badge.

So the build date is march 67 , there are holes in the boot that have been covered over by a respray back in 1980 . Are you saying it should be a Lotus Badge ? Not sure I've ever seen one before . Know of anyone reproducing them ?

Chris, if you read down the brochure topic you'll see that none of us have seen a car with that Lotus badge on it...could it be that your car had one?! Maybe the badge was only fitted to early export cars (assuming yours is left hand drive)? If you read the topic, PM Jeff who has a couple of the badges. Jeff may still have the spare one, or you may be able to get one made up from a copy of the badge.

I understand that know one in the UK has seen one , for that matter me either .My car is actually the only real one I have ever seen . Not many of them were here in Canada , lots of MK2's , but no Lotus' ,sure would like to know the numbers for the North American market (Loti of course). I am wondering because it has the hole in the lid . Not sure of the measurement as it's kinda hard to get back there.
