Hi I wonder if anybody can identify a pair of cams out of a spare engine they both have etched on the sprocket mounting face WR 135 this appears to be the only markings .
Terry

I remember Ian Walker racing used to make 135hp cams

sounds like they might be what you have?

cheers

Yes there is a I in front of the WR i thought it was i scribed line and not a letter ,so my next question is does anyone have cam timing info please.

The Ian Walker 135 Cams.
these cams have a timing of
51 BTDC , 78 ABDC, 75 BBDC and 54 ATDC.
Valve lift is .350 inch
standard tappet clearances.
Per the original IWR catalogue, The 135 number doesn't refer to the BHP figure attainable. They are stage 1 camshafts and would give about 118-120 BHP with a couple of other minor mods (mostly jetting).
Cheers
Brendan

Brendan a big thankyou for that information , now i am really taking the **** would you have the degree position giving max valve lift ? .
Cheers Terry

If you've a copy of Miles Wilkins' book on the twincam engine there is a 2 page article on the conversion on pages 208-209.

If you haven't got the book & want a copy of the article, send me your email address.

Keith , thanks for that ,i had been trying to think why Ian Walker Racing's name was familiar , well page 208-209 is the answer.
Many thanks Terry
