Choke Cable

I need a choke cable. I bought a nos for a GT but it's not long enough. I read somewhere there is a company who repairs/replaces cables, anyone know of this company of where I can get a correct length cable

If you have an original knob / pull , speedy cables can add a new wire and provide the correct outer sleeve. Just have measure up and tell them the length you need.

If I remember correctly you also need a separate piece of outer sleeve where the cable runs between the two carbs.

Sorry, make that a rear GEAR cable. I've got plenty if you'd like to try one.

How do you attach the new cable to the knob. Mine appears to be crimped, and doesn't look like it would be easy to remove and replace

As I recall I cut the old cable flush with the end of the crimped section, filed out the old cable & squeezed the new one in place in the vice. I bought a set of cheap small files on ebay. I tried it a couple of times & it seemed fine. I suppose it could be soldered? but as I've never actually had to use the choke I was happy with it.
