Hi All

I am looking for part no. A26E/322 -Elbow crankcase ventilation outlet tube- assume Burtons or similiar will stock?

Also need the vent tube- part no. B26E/033- can anyone help with this part?

Cheers

George

Q.E.D. do the rubber elbow George, but I have yet to find anyone who does the tube. I need one too, but it should be easy to make if we had a pattern.

Hi,

A member kindly gave me alone of a breather tube. The person who was going to make them for me as a favour- for the price of materials- as became hard to track down- sound familiar?

Anyway went to a local engineering company they have quoted

Up to 5 units £24.80 each
Up to 10 units £19.70 each
Up to 15 units £16.40 each

All plus vat and postage.

Let me know if anyone wants one the more the cheaper!

You can put me down for one George, as without it the starter gets damn oily and the drivers side drag link bush gets turned soft too.

Hi All,
Just a note to all potential buyers of the above. It was only fitted to cars up to middle 65!

Andy....where do you get that piece of information from? My parts book shows no year range restriction for B26E/033, Tube (ventilation) and my September 1966 car definitely had one fitted.

Then it has the wrong airbox fitted, late cars were fitted with the breather tube incorperating the flame trap.

I wasn't aware that there was more than one type of airbox on a Mk.1 L/C.
Only one part number shown in the book.
What's the difference between them and what's the connection with the ventilation tube arrangement?

The breather is connected to the airbox via a metal flame trap and plastic tube, this allows crankcase emissions to be fed back into the engine. the airbox has a male extension on the lower lefthand side (towards the bulkhead) where the plastic tube fits on.
