Hi all,

Been looking at my ignition timing to try and get the best setup. Trouble is my engine is set up at present with L1 cams which as I understand it would require different ignition timing and advance curves. I have seen references to the static values, but nothing on the degrees of advance as the revs increase. I have the standard dissy via Miles Wilkins and Lucas data, which are different by the way!

Sure that some of you must have been here before me - can anyone share what changes you have made and what worked for you for fast road or track cams? All help gratefully received as it will save me reinventing the wheel!

Hi Neil,

I have several curves, all different, and all for the 'standard' cam setup. I have curves from Aldon, H&H, the original Lucas curves and the ones from Wilkins. Not been able to find anything for other cam setups though.

Will eventually put the car on a rolling road to set up, but it would be good if we could get some data on this forum from members who have gone through this type of thing before, preferably tuned on a rolling road. It would get me in the ball park...

I have the same issue with carb jetting too, which I asked about on a seperate forum....
