HI All im putting my early 65 car back together , its has p16 calipers , do i fit them on the front of the leg or on the rear
also its had a roof Ariel fitted in period , do i refit it or not thanks

Forward facing calipers for the P16s - roof aerial was an accessory so up to you Alan

PS Weren't P14's standard on early '65 (A frame) cars? . Mine is June build & has P16's.

hi date of registration is august 65 , on leaf spring , its peter crane old car who owned it for 46 years and i believe hes not changed calipers as he generally kept good records of all work carried out, its has boot bars , were these cars hanging around in dealerships as i think build date was some six months earlier, rear brakes are early, i guess new reg plates came out in august may cause people to wait untill then
i fit them on the front, Roof Ariel im undecided but all old photos do show it

You confused me when you said early '65 car - forward facing P16s are right for late '65 cars.

You say this has the early rear brakes so must be pre-June '65 and probably A frame as well. Therefore P14 calipers.

The VIN number will tell you- BA74E? denotes the month.

Plates went to December in 1965 until '67 on the E plate .
