Keith Halstead said:Have you got the Summer 2012 Classic Ford article on 1965 Touring Cars (p109-111) where it states that KPU390-398 were acquired by Ford & a subset of these were then allocated to AMR. In March 65 they were still white/green & were painted in red/gold in June.

Monaco red is available with most paint brands, so the color shall match the database to the scan. I dont know if the Ferrari colors are available for everybody, but atleast you will get some results from the scan.
Annoying only when you do this and a Hyundai or something else horrendous will make the best match...
Rob So the myth of all the cars being white green must be incorrect ???? Apart from Colins old HLO car are there any other Mk1's known to be a colour other than white Rob[/quote said:Rob
Don Matheson's car (25 VUR) was originally brown!

How much (or how little) of the ORIGINAL car has to remain to enable the owner to be able to claim legitimately that the car is still an ex Alan Mann Racing vehicle?
From the photos posted, it would appear that a great deal of the body will be "new" material.
I shall now retire to the bunker to await reaction(s).
