Mk 2 Owners Handbook and Parts Manual

Was there a different owners manual for the two different series of Mk 2 cars? Also, was there a separate parts manual for the Mk 2 Lotus Cortina, or was it all lumped together with the other Mk 2 Cortinas like the Mk 1?

Ta very much...Mark

Mark,
Do I assume you mean the drivers handbook ?

I have two different ones of these, one is August 1966. t'other is July 1967. Do you need one then?

There has been Mk2 parts & workshop manuals on eBay in the not to distant past (albeit re-prints though)

Mervyn.

Thanks for the kind offer, Mervyn, and I think that you may have answered my question.

The handbook I bought from eBay was advertised as a 1969 edition, but is a January 1967 one, covering the early Mk 2 Series 1, which I guess yours will as well. As there are at least 3 versions of the Series one car handbook, I'm hoping that there must be at least one version of the Series 2 car, which is the one I'm looking for!

I'm on the case for a parts manual now, and it looks like the one manual covers all of the cars as per the Mk 1. Although knowing Ford, I'm sure that there are specific versions for the Lotus Cortina as well.

I do have the workshop manual, which I've had for many years. A proper original one with the fold-out diagrams. I may just get a repro one for the garage though.

Thanks again.....Mark

Thanks guys. I'll hopefully get one of those parts manuals...then I can get into the detail!

The lotus-cortina.com site has some good resources, and I've now spotted a few books long out of print that I want. The site has 2 handbooks for the Mk 1, but just the one for the Mk 2, which is the one I have for the Mk 2 S1, also January 1967. I still have the feeling that one of my old Mk 2 cars had the right handbook for a later car, but it was a long time ago so I could well be wrong The hunt continues.
