Lotus Cortina Mk1, "Special Equipment" 1966. Superb example with a lovely patination from its former restoration. Very smooth twin-cam engine that performs well throughout the rev-range and with the silky smooth legendary Ford 2000E gearbox. Last owner 18 years. Rare original leather-bound "SE" steering wheel as fitted to Lotus Cortinas in 1966 and the Lotus Elan Series 3 SE (Special Equipment) in 1966. This was only fitted to these two Lotus models in 1966. All correct gauges. Starts on the first turn of the key. An amazing experience to drive this thoroughly sorted example. Smooth and powerful twin-cam engine, exquisite steering and brakes and definitely the best one I have driven since the mid 1970's. Original "Lotus Special Equipment " script on the rear of the car. Correct dished steel wheels and hub-caps. Magazine featured. Original Owners Handbook.
