Hi,

my name is Carlos and I live in Madrid. I have been thinking about buying a Lotus Cortina for several years, but I still have to save too much! In the meanwhile I have to be content with scale models.

Hope to learn more about Lotus Cortina here.

Cheers!

Hi Carlos - welcome. The only Spanish contact that I am aware of on here is Andy Spain - and he ain't even Spanish!!

Have you ever seen any LC's on the streets of Madrid? It would be interesting to know how many are out there.

Thanks both for your replies.

I have never seen one here in Madrid, but I used to do it at Denia, in the Mediterranean coast, crowed of British residents. I am not pretty sure if that car was a true LC or just a Ford Cortina in LC colours, because its look was not very "healthy". I guess if it were an original LC the owner would have taken better care of it, wouldn't he?

Hola Carlos,
bienvenido al forum de lotus cortina.
I live in between Gerona and Barcelona, been here since 1978,if your up this way P.M.me throught the site, always make time to talk about lotus cortinas, might even persude me to bring mine out,its a mk1 65 left hand drive car.
In my years here i have only ever seen one other L/C,its a mk2 in red,the owner lives outside Lorett de Mar,and has had it 20+years,it has a TF.reg,so i guess it came from Teneriffe.
I buy most of the classic Spanish mags and have only ever seen a coulpe for sale, they have been in Portugal, and overpriced.
Carlos are there any clubs for fords/lotus ect in Madrid?
Andy
