Can someone remind where the site is that tells you what the correct colours are for each code - my brain has gone blank!!

thanks, that was the site I was trying to find.

It's definitely stamped CR. It has a light blue metallic under the existing white

Light green? Couldn't be worse could it? Got any idea if its a metallic light green?

Your lucky - have you seen Andy M's MK11 - its factory pink

Any non white or red MK11's are a rare sight. I'd like to see a green one. Fern Green is a nice colour , though I'm not sure I've ever seen light green.

I think I have a picture of a Light Green LC some where... I'll look for it tomorrow and post it up if I find it.

Hmmm... I'm not so sure that its the right color. In my mind it was light green but it looks goldish now. Any one care to correct me?

What ever it is, i'm not sold on it!! It might have to stay regulation ermine white after all

I,m sure that around 67 68 the some of paint codes changed, my nov 67 one has CR paint code and is definately blue mink metallic,so if yours is a very early 68 it could have the earlier code,I think that some of the red names changed as well.I have only ever seen one other blue mink LC,if I'm incorrect somebody with a tighter fitting anorack will be along soon

I have a late MK2 Lotus Cortina in Blue Mink and the paint code isnt CR. I think from memory is A3 on my car.
The car seen in the above picture looks to me to be Fern Green with a Gold stripe. This is a very rare colour, and I have only seen this colour in pictures. Ive owned my car for best part of 15 years now and in that time ive been to loads of shows and ive never seen that colour Lotus in the flesh.
When I bought my MK2 it was white /green stripe, but after a bonnet fire back in 1995 I decided to return it to its factory colour which was in my cars case Blue Mink. It was the best decision I made. Personally I would leave it in its factory colours, like it or loath it, it was made in that colour, and would be extremely rare if not one of the only Lotus Cortina's left in that colour. Just the same as finding a car with a particular rare option and taking it off because none of the others cars have it ! Of course its up to you. :)
