Radiator, two to three cores?

Hi, has anyone successfully modified the OEM 'tall' Lotus Cortina radiator to three cores? Or are the upper/lower tanks not large enough to accommodate the increase from two to three cores? Thanks, Richard

While not directly addressing your question I will say I'm very happy with the alloy radiator purchased from Radtec Cooling. Works well! While it is not a perfect reproduction their product captures the look of the original factory radiator. My one grip is the radiator overflow fitting is pointed in the wrong direction (correct for Mk2 possibly?). I have a feeling these are built as ordered so it may be possible to redirect the position of the overflow if requested.

They also offer a great looking motorsports fuel tank I'm tempted to purchase just because.

Right - next time you come to me to collect those eyeballs , use the Lotus & see how you get on in the Dartford Crossing starting at Junction 3. :D

What would you know about coming over the Dartford Crossing Keith.....from Kent?
Not on your manor mate!
Dave came up to the Saffron Walden show 2 years ago, over the crossing, no probs !

I have actually done it twice in my car - never again. :?

I have actually done the crossing twice with HXD. First to Hethal for the Lotus 40 year celebration then Saffron Walden with Pete. Both times without any delays BUT, having done it again last week (not in HXD)to see Keith I have to say that, although I didn't have to stop, it was far busier than I rembered. My return trip across the bridge was ok but the tunnel felt quite threatening. It's quite long & vehicles are closely packed together so it seems to me that any sort of incident would take a long time to clear. Not a good situation to be in with a Lotus Cortina so I do fully sympathise with & undersatand Keith's reluctance to use it.
If Saffron Walden's on this year Pete & you're going please let me know. Maybe Keith would join us? And Scott Simpson for that matter? What do you think Scott?

Yes Dave, it's scheduled for Sunday Aug 8th so should be OK to go ahead!
I have it on my calendar but it is a long way off

Sounds good - I can use all the country lanes to get there.
