Replacement car for Howard maybe?

This 1964 Ford Cortina GT (chassis Z7707802546) has been owned by the seller for 8 years and retains about half of its factory white paint and all of the rare, export-only stainless side-trim. The seller restores Alfas for a living, but says that this car always garners a great amount of attention and comments from visitors to his shop. This is an honest little GT that is no Lotus, but isn’t trying to be. The restored red upholstery is also offers a nice contrast. It is now available in Seattle, Washington for $14,500.
The seller believes that the car lived in Idaho for a time, and he has been told by Seattle locals that they remember it being in this area for many years. Since owning it he has replaced one rocker panel and the bottom of one of the aft part of a rear fender. Also replaced the gas tank, and he now calls the car mostly rust free. He says it has never been hit, and that all the bumperettes are included but were removed. The front bumper is re-chromed.
About three years ago the seller restored the seats and door panels with upholstery sourced from England. At that time the dash pad was also re-worked. All the lights, instruments, and horn work, and there is no radio. All of the original funky switch gear and knobs remain in place. The original carpets need replacing and the pad on top of the console needs to be re-covered. When the interior was done, a new windshield was installed and also took the rear window out to check for rust and found none. A new headliner was added at that time.
A cross-flow has been installed with correct Weber intake and a GT header. Recently added are a generator and starter, and the car runs and drives great according to the seller, including on the freeway.

I reckon in the UK all taxes paid for about £13,000, which is fair but not a bargain.

Yes just seen that on buysell. Looks a good one.

I would like a Mk1 GT but it would have to be a 2 door Goodwood Green one.

Selling Lotus is falling out of bed anyway. Up for sale again by the end of the week me thinks.
