Spring Rubbers

Hi Peter you mean the little discs sandwiched between the spring leaves? (Slipper pads, i think they're called) Try Pedders (Harris park or blacktown, jim hunter suspension blacktown or kings springs Arndell park. Shouldn't be hard to match, I think they're pretty generic.

Or these......(ouch!)

you can make your own one's, buy a sheet of PTFE off of ebay, cut them out using a hole saw, and machine the backs down to the right diameter, these are the ones I made for my escort TC

The one's I want are the ones in the first photo. The other white ones I have not seen before as my car doesn't seem to have them but I will follow them up. The 80 pound price is hopefully for a set. The ones Connor very kindly photographed are from the springs I suspect are from Team De Ville which are what I have but I want to restore my original ones.

This fella sells them in various sizes

But a local spring supplier is probably still worth asking

OK so I've ordered two sets of the rubbers and I'll see what I do about the small inserts but 80 pounds is pretty hot! Anyone any other thoughts on these disks? Does someone have the dimensions of these Slipper disks?
For a Ford Falcon they are $15 a set.

Hi again Peter, repros are available locally from ringwood for falcons of the same era, they may well be same dimensions.

A relative bargain, if they fit. No harm in asking!

Peter,
If it helps the 1600E club sell the rubbers that look like the originals. They are £5 each.
Regards
Lansdown (Bob)

That's great and thanks. Now as I am a member of LCR, MK1OC and MK2OC I really don't want to join another club. Anybody care to buy them for me if they are members of 1600E Club?
Also Bob, id that the round ones or the rubber clamp part like in my photo?

Does anyone know if they will fit my 1966 MK1? Also still hope someone knows the diameter of the plastic disks. Also is anyone a member of the 1600E club?

can anyone send me a picture of which way round the leading spring eye should be on a late 65 lotus .
Cheers
Rick
