sun visors

I have purchased a new headlining for my MK2 series 2 from Aldridges but they tell me they don't do new sunvisors. They can paint the existing. I hate that idea but they are welded and that is difficult to recover. Has anybody come up against this problem?

I had my MK1 visors recovered by Aldridge and they are also seem welded . Wonder why they can't do a MK11 - do they have a mirror in them?

I've asked the question and as I am doing the MK1 next, I'm ahead of the game.....

I've had an answer from Alridges. Apparently they don't have a tool for the MK2 sunvisor........but if I send mine, they will make one so they will recover mine and in future they will be able to offer these to be recovered.
I will send my MK1 visors at the same time. I'm sure you all wanted to know that.................

Why not suss out some local trimmers first? I would imagine heat sealing of seams is a reasonably standard trimmers' practice.

Mainly because the headlining came from Aldridges and I'd like it all to match

Maybe they can supply additional so you can get the job done locally. When i bought mine I asked for enough to do the visors and c pillar panels as well.
