I know this is not a Lotus but have a look at this restro fo

My word there is some serious work in that car. Very detailed description.
Change of colour spoils the originality but blue looks better than yellow.

Can't really see ebay being the best place to sell such a high quality car.

Hi H

If the restoration of my mk2 is two thirds as good as that I will be well pleased.

It is a top job, I don't think any prospective buyer would worry about the colour change and originality as apose to owning that british classic, due entirely to the quality of the restoration work undertaken.

Kev

At the end of the day, as spot on as it is, its a triumph stag, no one's gonna pay that kind of money. Its ok spending that kind of money for the love of the car, but dont expect to get it back.

Hi Brian

That could be said about a lot of our cars unless you sit on them for a long time, due to the money we spend on some of them as well.
I will probably be in that bracket with my MK2 series 1 XOO 869F.

Kev, There is 100 triumph stags/MG's to your cortina. As much as i like them(stags/mg's) at car shows, people walk past them to get to that old cortina dad used to have. Being rare is part of the appeal i think, i could be wrong? Lets face it, theres not much, if not anything you cant get for a stag/MG, and thats why you have to admire any lotus cortina, let alone a top class one that are at shows and being restored.

Hi Brian

I understand the thoughts, but the only reason I posted this up was to show the standard of this restro. Like the cars or not it is as you say a spot on job.

Regards
Kev

Quality work on the Stag. I do have a soft spot for them , having owned one many moons ago. This one does seem exspensive but you'd never be able to build one to that quality for that price.
