Mk 2 Gearbox etc. correct colour

I have just started cleaning up the gearbox, back axel etc ready for painting. There is very little paint on the back axel but what is there is black which I assume is correct? The gearbox looks as if it was originally dark green, but also has some black on it. Any one any idea what is correct?
Also while I am at it what colour should the engine block, cylinder head and cam cover be?

Thanks - would the bellhousing also be the same colour?

I think so Bob. Mine had traces of green paint on it when I cleaned it down.

When new rear axle casings were black, gearbox castings were dark green with the bell housing matt black. From memory I think engine block and head were grey with black cam cover.
