MK1 Throttle Cable Connection

Has anyone got a picture of how the throttle cable should join to the accelerator pedal?

Mine has been converted to twin cable , so the original connection fitting has been removed.

Steve.....it's exactly as shown on sheet KN of the parts book. A small clevis pin goes through the bracket on the end of the accelerator cable and the hole at the end of the pedal arm.

Thanks Michael. I was originally checking in an early Lotus parts listing (diagram KA) and the picture wasn't that clear. Now I've had a look in the yellow/green parts book I can see what you mean. Thanks.

I doubt I'll be able to go back to single cable as i'm also missing all of the original linkages at the carbs.

Why twin cable Steve? If you go to a weber dealer or motorsport parts supplier you can get a single cable webcon or magard set up that fits the pedal as per original and you can take the cable through the original hole in the bulkhead. That allows you to fill the extra holes in the bulkhead and you can convert to the original set up at a later date if you find the correct bits.

Tommy - the car came with the twin cable set up. Not my choice to have all that cable flapping about in the engine bay.

I'll do a bit more investigation into the parts to go back to original.
