Do one of you venerable ladies or gentlemen have one that works.....and an airial?
I would like a photo so that someone like Rick could authenticate it please and the a sum of money you may want for such a thing please.

The mk2 LC workshop manual (your next purchase!) has an extensive section on radios as I recall.

You may see what you want , but it will be a waiting game to find it!

Radios to me are a personal accessory --I have a nice period Motorola in mine as I need FM in Scotland.

I probably need the manual more than the radio. I suppose these come up every now and then. There may even be one with the car. I suppose these are an ebay thing or has it been reproduced?

Peter

I've no radios, I may get myself one of sexy period looking radios which hide ipod connections and other modern stuff behind the facia. (when funds allow.) But then the horrible problem of fitting speakers.

P.S Excellent advice from Graham, Its always a good idea for any new owner to read through some of the books recomended in are book section.

Hmmm. I didn't even think of speakers but didn't radios have built in speakers in that period. Anybody with advice on speakers?
Flyinghorse care to expand on availability? This container is getting quite full. A race motor for my son's MG midget, a set of minilites and tyres for this car..........

Last time I checked they were available at Message Motoring Bookshop Clarence St Sydney. They halved the size so it's smaller now, and some enterprising aussie sells an electronic version on ebay (probably a bit iffy legally). Like G says I had mine shipped in the boot of the car from UK. You're welcome to come and have a squiz at mine in Five Dock

And here's an interim option, a local genuine cortina radio....AM only however.

I think a Philips turnlock was a better radio of that time

Also I just discovered that robertverhey lives in the suburb next to mine in Sydney.............

Thanks cortina. I actually replied to this some time ago and never got a response. I've since bought one in the UK on Ebay. Just now have to see if it works. Thanks for the clue. My car should now be on the water,

Peter
