What a bunch of great photos, I have never seen so many droptop Cortina's. Does anyone know how these cars were reinforced or are they just rolling bowls of jelly driving down the road? Were the sills doubled up with a D shaper inner to form a double box or were tubes added.
I always wanted to take the mk1 estate and move the B post back and use the doors from a 2 door and make it into Ranchero type of one off. any of these around?

I remember being told some years ago that 774 FYH was a bitsa built up from a crayford and the remains of a lotus. If I remember correctly it was also suggested that the body was made up from the bodies of 2 cars welded together. If anybody knows different please put me right, as this is all hearsay from Coombe Abbey about 8 years ago.
