Rev Counter Polarity Checking

I want to make sure my Rev counter is wired for +ve earth.
I think if the Diode is soldered to the spade connector and the green wire to the body this would be configured for +ve earth.
If the electrical experts here would comment on this I would be grateful

If a Diode is connected to the supply terminal you could check this with a meter to see which way round it is .
Should be a resistor as it left the factory so may have had a diode fitted by a repairer to stop being damaged by wrong polarity connection .
