Spotted in NZ

Just a couple of pics that I spotted...... in my garage in New Zealand.

Yep its on the other side of the world, but I thought you might be interested.

We have just bought a 1964 Lotus Cortina Mk1 off an uncle. It is genuine 60,000 miles & he has owned it for over 30 years. Has had three english owners, the last of which bought it out to NZ with him, then one NZ owner before my uncle bought it in about 1974.

Unfortunately it hasnt been used in 25 years & infact hadnt been started for about 20 years when we purchased it, as you will see by the condition.

Lucklily we own a paint & panel business over here so will probably give it a major restoration before offering it for sale again...

Have you any idea of the original U.K. registration Louie. If it left the U.K. before the records went on computer, it would be one of the many disappeared cars. All the original Northern Irish cars are gone, so it would be nice if one of them turned up somewhere.

Hi Tommy,

Yes we have the full ownership history from new (both UK & NZ) including letters etc from the original owner. As these documents are obviously very important to the car, they are away being copied & laminated, so once I get them back I will be able to provide details of is UK history....
