Wheres the best place to get the bushes and ball to overhaul the gearlever.

I know the MK1 owners club sell all the bits - are their bits any good?

I'd be really interested to hear any replies to this. I would have thought MK1 Owners Club to be first port of call and most reliable. They do it for nothing and I've found there stuff pretty good. Its not as though you could do enough ks to wear it out is it?

And a fair expectation. I'm sure someone will have the answer. I would just make the assumption.............
As I said, I look forward to the answer because I'm sure I bought this part as well although mine may have come from Teamdeville.
For some reason I think that most of these parts come from one supplier and the rest are just distributors. Also available from RD in the States I recall.

I bought these and all OK except the eyeball one is a bit tight & needs some wear to make it useable or else a strong left arm....

I have the mk1 cortina o.c. ones just fitted and indeed it takes a strong left arm to get reverse, but all the rest of gear selection is fine. It does seem to be improving with a few miles (about 100 so far), and as far as fitting them, all went together as it should.

I used Terry Batchelors because they were white and as it turned out, fitted properly, including the washers. The club ones were too tight for my liking

I've robbed a metal ball from an Anglia gearlever and intend to use it on AJT, but I'm a little concerned about it being noisy. I've also seen the Team Deville site and he lists a quick shift kit for the Mk 1. Anyone used one of these?
