FOK 736D Where is it now

I owned this Mk1 Lotus Cortina in 2003, it was in immaculate condition & I so regret selling it ! I just wondered where and what happened to it as the the chap I sold it to re-sold it on not long after due to other commitments. I still have the bug for them so I am in the process of trying to buy another one !

I found out that the car was sold @ H&H Classic auctions in Sept 2004 but they do not disclose the buyers details !

Sorry mistake with the above post, Sept 2004 was the MOT expiry & not the sale date. It must have been some time in 2003/ 2004 it sold there for £13000.

My friend owns this car, it is still immaculate and gets shown a couple of times a year, Keith Holland (ex f5000 driver) bought it from H&H auctions and sold it to my friend, pic taken last year

Glad to see my old car is still looking so good, I just came accross some pics of the car the other day.
The pics were taken on the day that I regrettably sold it to Russel Patterson the Morgan sports car racing driver/Morgan car dealer from Perth.

I am the original restorer and owner of FOK 736D from 1982 to 2001. I googled the reg number a few weeks ago. It was auctioned at Brooklands in March 2015. It went under the hammer for £47,040.

No Peter that defiantly wasn't his name. But I do however remember when we took the car for a test drive around Weston we went past a lovely house with a large outbuilding, and the seller informed me that the chap who lived there had a few mk1 L/C.

I think you stand more chance of finding them on Facebook group Lotus Cortina Mk1 & Mk2 where the majority of owners lurk - post a WANTED advert.
